  TLM5100 separate Raman fiber amplifier is mainly used for long-distance  transmission between two communication stations without relay in the middle, which is different from EDFA amplification. The gain medium of EDFA is erbium-doped fiber, which can only be amplified when the optical signal enters into EDFA, while the gain medium of Raman fiber amplifier is ordinary single-mode fiber, which sends optical signal through reverse pump, Due to RSR effect, The optical signal is amplified when the reverse and forward signal meet in the middle. That means, the gain separate area is formed when the signal is 50km or even farther away from the end. The optical signal is amplified in a separate way, so the device can maintain a high standard CNR and MER value after long-distance transmission without relay in the middle, which provide an ideal solution for long distance and long span optical fiber transmission.

Through the reasonable choice of pump laser wavelength, the amplification of C&L-band is realized under the condition of low noise and good gain flatness. This is also the only device that can amplify simultaneously in the range of 1528〜1610nm.

  The device adopts the top brand pump laser. The optimized optical circuit design and manufacturing process ensure the best optical performance. The perfect electronic controlled  APC (automatic power control), ACC (automatic current control) and ATC (automatic temperature control) are adopted to ensure high stability and reliability of output power, as well as excellent optical performance.

  MPU (microprocessor) with high stability and precision is adopted in the system. The optimized thermal structure design , good ventilation and heat dissipation design ensure the long life and high reliability of the equipment. Based on the powerful network management function of TCP / IP protocol, network monitoring and head-end management can be carried out for the status of multiple node equipment through RJ45 network management interface, supporting multiple power redundancy configurations, which improved the practicability and reliability of the equipment.
