Optical Switch

Main Applications

  TOW1000 series optical switch is featured in short switching time (≤ 8ms) and low loss (≤ 1.5dB), which is mainly used in fiber ring network or redundant standby network. When the main line fails or is lower than the set threshold value, it will automatically switch to the standby line. When the main line returns to normal, it will automatically return to the main line. When device is in the mode of manual forced switching , it can switch to the main line or the standby line as you like.

  In addition to the optical switching function, the device also have the RF detection function to check the signal quality. When the input optical power is ≥ 0dbm, and in the automatic operating mode, the RF detection function can be turned on. When the RF detection value is lower than the minimum required value, it can be judged that there is no RF signal in this line, and another line will be detected quickly, If the RF signal in another line is detected to be normal,  the optical switch will turn to another line.  If there is no RF signal detected in another line, the optical switch will not act. To avoid misjudgment, when the input optical power is lower than 0dBm, the device will turn off the RF detection function automatically .

6.The operating parameters of the whole machine are controlled by  microprocessor, and the LCD status display on the front panel has many functions such as laser status monitoring, parameter display, fault alarm, network management, etc.; once the operating parameters of the laser deviate from the allowed range set by the software, the system will alarm promptly.

7.Standard RJ45 interface is provided, supporting SNMP and web remote network management.
